The music genre of ‘Jet’ is a R&B magazine. The target audience for this particular magazine is for female dominate of the age 16-30 years of age. This can be shown through the main mage as ‘Keisha Cole’ is around 20 years of age. The main image is of ‘Keisha Cole’ an R&B solo artist. The main image relates to the music genre as she is an R&B singer.The mise en scene which is encoded through the camera shot taken of the main image is a medium close up shot. The effect this has on the audience is the main image is important and also the camera shot used helps to signify ‘Keisha Coles’ action as her arms are crossed onto her shoulders and she is looking down this connotes that there is more to music as her actons are usually is how Keisha portrays herself to the audience.
